The Wingscapes 2.0 is the highest performance and highest resolution model available, featuring an 8mp camera that shoots JPEG images at three different levels of quality. High quality stills are shot at 3264x2448 rez, Medium rez is 2024x1536, and Low rez is 1024x768. The lens provides a 52 degree field of view, equivalent to about a 46mm lens and focuses from 18 inches to infinity. The camera can also shoot video in AVI files at 640x480 resolution. The beauty of the Wingscapes 2.0 is that the camera comes in a lockable, rugged, weatherized case that allows you to leave the camera on-location for hours, days, or weeks dependeing on your needs. The other great feature is the "wake-up" option that will automatically start shooting images at daybreak once a certain light level is obtained, meaning there is no problem getting the camera to shoot from sunrise to sunset automatically. There are several ways to mount the camera and it can be powered by an A/C adapter or four "D" cell batteries. The batteries will power the camera for 4 weeks.
The delay between shots can be every 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 min., 5 min., 10 min., 20 min., 30 min., 45 min., 1 hour, 4 hours, 6 hours, or once daily. The camera takes a maximum of 1000 shots per event, in wake-up mode each day is a different event meaning you will max out at 1000 shots per day. In 30-second interval mode you will get 1000 shots in 8 hours and 20 minutes, in 1-minute interval mode you will get 1000 shots in 16 hours 40 minutes. The 4 GB memory card will hold 1500 images at high resolution, 3600 at medium resolution.
