The HDX-900 is perfect for all types of HD production including sports, documentaries, and digital cinematography. It is a 2/3" 3-CCD DVCPRO HD camcorder which can record in either 1080i or 720p with a total of 11 different video formats [including 60Hz and 50Hz settings]. The camera provides higher-quality 4:2:2 intra-frame recording at 100 Mbps which holds up thru layers of special effects, graphic overlays, and constant editing and processing. The camera performs superbly in low-light situations, has an electronic shutter from 1/100 to 1/2000 sec and synchro-scan shutter from 1/60.3 to 1/249.8 sec., has two 4-position optical filters with ND and white balance options, and accepts 2/3" lenses. The multi-format recording system supports 1080 at 59.94i, 50i, 29.97p, 25p, 23.98p, 23.98pA and 720 at 59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p, and 23.98p.
